Matt Rossell has extensive experience in animal advocacy and campaign management. As the Campaign Manager at the Animal Legal Defense Fund since May 2022, Rossell leads various initiatives to promote animal rights. Previously, Rossell served as the Director of Advocacy, Programs, Campaigns & Public Policy at Beagle Freedom Project from October 2017 to February 2023, and as Campaigns Director at Animal Defenders International from April 2011 to October 2017. Early in the career, Rossell held the position of Northwest Director at In Defense of Animals from January 2001 to February 2011 and worked undercover as a primate technician at the Oregon National Primate Research Center between April 1998 and June 2000. Rossell earned a Bachelor's degree in Special Education K-12 from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 1992.
