Mallory (Molly) Gordon is a Senior Scientist at Anika, with experience in research and development since January 2018. Prior roles at Anika include Scientist II and Scientist. Prior to joining Anika, Molly was a doctoral researcher at the University of Massachusetts Amherst from September 2011 to December 2017, focusing on responsive nanoparticle-based materials for therapeutic delivery applications. Earlier experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant leading undergraduate organic chemistry laboratory sessions and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Franklin & Marshall College, concentrating on photo-acid catalyzed organic reactions. Molly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Franklin & Marshall College and a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Competencies include organic, polymer, and peptide synthesis, nanoparticle formulation, various spectroscopic and chromatographic techniques, dynamic light scattering, mass spectrometry, technical writing, data analysis, project management, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and peer mentoring.
