Cameron Hore is a highly experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Group Principal Tailings Engineer and Manager of Tailings Policy and Governance at AngloGold Ashanti since February 2022. Prior to this role, Cameron worked as a Senior Tailings Specialist at AngloGold Ashanti Australia from January 2021 to February 2022 and held the position of Senior Consultant in Tailings and Mine Waste at SRK Consulting from November 2010 to January 2021. Cameron's expertise encompasses a wide range of geotechnical and geoenvironmental challenges, including the design of tailings storage facilities and heap leach pads across diverse climates and commodities. Cameron's early career included geotechnical investigations and foundation design at ATC Williams as a Graduate Engineer. Cameron holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from The University of Western Australia, obtained in 2010.
