Matt Stevens currently serves as General Manager - SSE at Anglo American since April 2023, following a decade-long tenure at BHP, where roles included Manager Production Coal, Maintenance Manager, and Production Superintendent at Peak Downs. Prior to this, Matt was involved in operational lead level negotiations and project management for maintenance overhauls at BHP Billiton. Matt's career began in the Australian Army as an Apprentice/Tradesman/Officer between 1999 and 2006. Matt holds a Master's degree in Business Management from UNSW, along with various qualifications including a Cert 4 in Training and Assessment and a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration and Management. Additionally, Matt is a certified Practicing Project Manager from the Australian Institute of Management.
