Bo Zhang, Ph.D., is a seasoned professional in forestry and ecological modeling with extensive research experience. Currently serving as the Manager of Forest Carbon Modeling at Anew since November 2022, Bo previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Memorial University of Newfoundland, where projects focused on assessing forest susceptibility to spruce budworm using advanced mathematical and machine learning models. Educationally, Bo holds a Ph.D. in Forestry from the University of New Brunswick, complemented by an MSc in Forest Management from SLU and another MSc in Forestry-Silviculture from the Chinese Academy of Forestry. Prior roles include research positions at the University of New Brunswick and contract research at FORUS Research, demonstrating a solid foundation in data analysis and ecological impact assessment throughout a diverse career spanning multiple organizations and international projects.
