Greg Solovyev has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Greg is currently working as a Principal Engineer at anetac, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Airbyte from 2022 to 2023 as a Database & data warehouse connectors.

Greg also worked for Cloudera as a Sr. Engineering Manager from 2018 to 2022, where they were responsible for Apache Kudu, an open-source distributed storage engine for Cloudera Data Platform, and Cloudera Search (Apache Solr).

Before Cloudera, they served as the CTO of STILL HUMAN. from 2015 to 2017. Greg was the Founder, CEO, and engineer of Citybot from 2011 to 2014.

Greg also gained experience at VMware as a Staff Engineer (via Zimbra acquisition) from 2010 to 2012, Yahoo! as a Tech Yahoo, Software Dev Eng, Sr (via Zimbra acquisition) from 2007 to 2010, and Zimbra as a Principal Software Engineer from 2004 to 2007.

Greg started their career at FrontRange Solutions in 2004 as a Senior Software Engineer, where they designed and implemented WMI and SNMP data collection services, Inventory Management data model, and worked with C#.NET and VB.NET.

Additionally, Greg was a Founder at The Founder Institute in 2011.

Greg Solovyev attended the Russian University of Humanities from 1997 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Security/Computer Science. Greg then pursued further education at the University of Phoenix from 2005 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. In 2011, Greg attended The Founder Institute to study Business, and they completed their education there in 2012. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications from LinkedIn and Lynda.com, including "How to Master Your Executive Presence" from LinkedIn in 2023 and "Stay Lean with Kanban" from Lynda.com in 2018.
