Kenneth Kent has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Kenneth has been with the University of New Brunswick since 2002, starting as a Professor and later taking on roles such as Director of IBM Center for Advanced Studies - Atlantic, Acting Assistant Dean - Research & Outreach, and Director of Information Technology Center. In 2022, they became the Barrett Chair in Entrepreneurship for Digital Transformation at the university.
In 2016, Kenneth Kent also co-founded and became an Advisor at anessa, where they served as Chief Product Officer until January 2019. Additionally, they have held the position of Honorary Professor at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg since June 2013.
Kenneth Kent completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mathematics and Computer Science at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Kenneth then went on to pursue further education at the University of Victoria, where they obtained a Master's degree (MSc) and a Doctorate (PhD) in Computer Science.
