Charles Negus is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering and operations analysis, currently serving as the Director of Mission Engineering at Anduril Industries since March 2022. Prior to this position, Charles held multiple roles at Northrop Grumman, including Operations Analysis Lead and Consulting Engineer in Modeling & Simulation from November 2018 to March 2022. An academic contributor, Charles taught as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at San Diego State University from January 2005 to May 2019, focusing on computer programming applications and serving as a faculty advisor for the SDSU Sailing Team. Charles has also worked with General Atomics Aeronautical Systems as Mission Modeling Lead, and with L-3 Communications ATI as a Senior Scientist, developing models for human injury prediction and system engineering. Earlier roles included positions at NAVAIR and Titan Corporation, specializing in F-14 aerostructures, and as a Mechanical Engineer at Vector Research Corp. Charles holds a Ph.D. in Computational Mechanics from UC San Diego, an MSME from Virginia Tech, and a BSME from Virginia Tech.
