Shoumik Sharar Chowdhury has worked in a variety of roles since 2012. Shoumik Sharar began their career as an English Language Teacher at Mastermind School in 2012. In 2016, they worked as a Spring Intern at Green and Red Technologies, where they were part of the Android development team. Shoumik Sharar then worked as a Backend Developer at Panacea Live in 2017. That same year, they took on a Research Assistant role at KolpoKoushol, where they explored applications of machine learning and network analysis and published a short paper at NeurIPS. In 2019, they were a Research Assistant at the University of Houston, where they explored graph dynamics in videos and causality of changes in graph structures in videos. Shoumik Sharar also worked as a Deep Learning Engineer at Gaze, where they devised and developed novel deep learning models for applications such as license plate recognition and face recognition. Currently, they are a Machine Learning Engineer at Andium.
Shoumik Sharar Chowdhury obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from BRAC University between 2013 and 2016. Shoumik Sharar then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Houston from 2019 to 2021. In addition to their formal education, Shoumik Sharar Chowdhury also holds certifications in Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) Specialization from Coursera (obtained in December 2020), AI for Medicine Specialization from Coursera (obtained in July 2020), Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera (obtained in March 2019), and a Certificate of Accomplishment - Basic Course on Photography from Pathshala South Asian Media Academy (obtained in May 2014).
