Steve Mullins is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in various editorial roles. Mullins served as the retired executive editor at Anderson Independent Mail since January 2012 and was previously an editor at Journal Media Group from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, Mullins held multiple positions at The Post and Courier, including managing editor, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing a newsroom of approximately 140 staff members and hiring over 20 award-winning multimedia journalists. Early career experience includes reporting for The Charleston Daily Mail and The Parkersburg News, focusing on crime, local government, and investigative stories. Mullins began professional life as a Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy from 1969 to 1973. Education includes a degree from Marshall University, attended from 1973 to 1977, and graduation from Logan High School in 1968.
