Andy Watkins has extensive work experience as a software engineer, with a focus on senior roles. Andy started working at BT Labs in 1993 as a software engineer and continued in various software engineering roles until 2000. From 2000 to 2004, they worked at NTL as a software engineer, specializing in interactive TV applications. Andy then joined Cisco in 2007, where they worked as a software engineer and web developer until 2014. During their time at Cisco, they gained experience in web development, agile methodologies, and Scrum. In 2014, they worked at Maersk as a DevOps Build Manager before moving on to ONELAN Ltd as a senior software engineer in 2015. In 2016, they joined BBC Monitoring as a Python software developer, where they developed Django-based applications. In 2016, they also started working at UKCloud Ltd as a senior software engineer, focusing on automation and Python training. Currently, Andy is employed as a senior software engineer at Ancoris Limited since March 2021.

Andy Watkins attended the University of Bath from 1989 to 1993, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with French. Andy obtained the Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect certification from Google in January 2022.
