Margaret Zeng started their work experience in 2013 as a Liaison Trainee at the Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival General Office. In 2014, they worked as an Auditing Intern at BDO China-SHU LUN PAN Certified Public Accountants LLP. In 2015, they had two internships: the first as a Winter Intern at KPMG China and the second as an Operations Intern at Morgan Stanley Huaxin Fund Management Co., Ltd. Margaret then joined KPMG in 2016 as an Associate and later became an Assistant Manager from September 2018 to November 2018. Margaret Zeng's most recent position is as a Financial Analyst at Ancora Education, starting in February 2021.

In March 2019, Margaret gained proficiency in Python programming essentials through the Coursera platform. In March 2020, they obtained the Google Analytics Individual Qualification from Google.
