Denisa Vargová, Ph.D. most recently worked as the Head of the Compound Management Department at AnalytiCon Discovery starting in January 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the Max-Planck-Institute for Colloids and Interfaces from September 2020 to December 2021. During their time there, they were a member of the Carbohydrate Materials group, focusing on Automation and Materials characterization. Denisa also worked on the preparation and characterization of carbohydrate oligomers on a nano scale.
Before their postdoctoral position, Denisa Vargová was a PhD student at Comenius University in Bratislava from September 2016 to August 2020. Denisa also briefly worked as a PhD student at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen from September 2018 to February 2019.
Additionally, Denisa Vargová served as an Assistant at the 50th International Chemistry Olympiad in Bratislava in June and July 2018. Denisa'sresponsibilities included preparing the laboratories for the practical part of the competition and evaluating the organic chemistry practical problem.
Prior to their academic career, Denisa Vargová worked as a Sales Assistant at Next Ltd from an unspecified start date to 2017.
Denisa Vargová, Ph.D. obtained a Bachelor's degree (Bc.) in Chemistry from Univerzita Komenského v Bratislave in the years 2011-2014. Denisa then went on to pursue a Master's degree (M.Sc.) in Organic Chemistry at Univerzita Komenského, Bratislava from 2014 to 2016, where they graduated with honors. Building upon their education, Denisa Vargová completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Comenius University, from 2016 to 2020.
In addition to their formal education, Denisa Vargová has obtained various certifications to further enhance their knowledge and skills. In June 2020, they completed the course "PH526x: Using Python for Research" offered by HarvardX. In March 2020, they also completed the "Crash Course on Python" on Coursera. Furthermore, Denisa Vargová obtained a certification in "Zolltarif Chemikalien (Kapitel 28 und 29)" from AWA AUSSENWIRTSCHAFTS-AKADEMIE GmbH in October 2022. Lastly, in August 2022, they obtained the "IATA - Dangerous Goods Regulations" certification from AFK-International GmbH.
