Rachel Shapiro, SHRM-CP, has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Rachel is currently working as the Senior Director of Human Resources at Anakeesta since November 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Operations & Human Resources at Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park from December 2021 to October 2022. Rachel also worked at the Colorado Department of Human Services as a Worker's Compensation Specialist on a temporary basis from October 2021 to November 2021.

Rachel's previous roles include being the Interim Director of Operations at Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park from May 2021 to October 2021, the General Manager at NVA Pet Resorts from October 2020 to May 2021, and the Director of Human Resources at Elitch Gardens from June 2014 to October 2020.

Before their positions at Elitch Gardens, Rachel served as the General Manager at Enchantment Pet Resort & Spa from August 2011 to June 2014, where they oversaw all day-to-day operations and implemented changes in the company's culture and practices. Prior to that, they worked as the General Manager at Zuma Fun Center from June 2009 to July 2011, where they managed various aspects of the entertainment center and implemented a new hiring program.

Rachel's earliest work experience includes working in pet care at Rover Retreat from 2002 to 2009 and as an Operations Manager at Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park from 1999 to 2009. Throughout their career, Rachel has demonstrated their expertise in human resources, operations management, staff retention, customer service, and strategic planning.

Rachel Shapiro, SHRM-CP holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Frostburg State University. Rachel has also obtained additional certifications, including Crucial Conversations and Outstanding Pet Care University Levels 1-2. Rachel is a certified professional by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
