Kaan Kalkan is a highly experienced professional in the field of remote sensing and geomatics, currently serving as a Group Lead at TUBITAK UZAY since July 2016, with responsibilities focused on remote sensing projects. Concurrently, Kaan holds a position as a Visiting Lecturer at Anadolu University, teaching a doctoral course on satellite image processing. Previous roles include Senior Software Developer at HAVELSAN, where Kaan worked on hyperspectral remote sensing projects, and Research Assistant at Istanbul Technical University. Kaan began a career in project scholarship at TUBITAK, contributing to an international project on urban planning. Kaan possesses advanced degrees, including a Ph.D. in Geomatics from Istanbul Technical University, alongside a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Remote Sensing and Geomatics Engineering, respectively.
