Helena Moreira has a wealth of work experience in research. Helena began their career in 2012 as a Student Researcher at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto. Helena then took on a role as a MSc Student Researcher at INEB in 2013. In 2014, they worked as a Researcher at 3B's Research Group. In 2017, they were a Visiting PhD Student at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Helena returned to 3B's Research Group in 2016 as a PhD Student, and in 2020 they worked as a Laboratory Assistant at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Most recently, in 2021, they began working as a Researcher at Amyris.

Helena Moreira attended the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto from 2008-2013. Helena also attended UTAD. In 2020, they obtained 12 certifications from LinkedIn in the areas of Advertising on Facebook, Advertising on Instagram, Advertising on YouTube, Becoming a Social Media Marketer, Marketing on Facebook, Marketing Tools: Social Media, Marketing on Twitter, Social Media Marketing Foundations, Social Media Marketing for Small Business, Social Media Marketing with Facebook and Twitter, Social Media Marketing: Managing Online Communities, and Social Media Marketing: ROI.
