Cameron Chew has worked in a variety of roles in the engineering field since 2006. Cameron began their career as a Manufacturing Co-op for ALZA Corporation, where they troubleshot and identified optimization strategies for the Duragesic Anesthetic Patch production line and managed a Six Sigma Greenbelt project to reduce departures and changeover time up to 9 hours. In 2008, they became a Project Engineer for Hilmar Cheese Company, where they prepared and designed concept drawings, cost estimates, and project scopes for future capital plans, developed and implemented short and long term capital goals, and provided technical support for Water Reclamation Operations group. In 2015, they joined Jones Lane Lasalle as a Reliability Engineer. In 2016, they were promoted to Lead Reliability Engineer at Jones Lane Lasalle, Genentech Account, where they analyzed equipment failures for patterns and cost savings, worked with capital project groups to ensure adequate consideration given to operations and maintenance, and implemented Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs designed to efficiently maximize asset performance. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Equipment Engineer for Amyris.
Cameron Chew obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biochemical Engineering from the University of California, Davis between 2003 and 2007.
