Barry ZHANG has worked in the industry since 2004. Barry began their career at L'Oréal as an R&D Lab Manager, then moved to Evonik Degussa in 2007, where they served as Regional Tech Manager for Personal Care. In 2012, they moved to Solvay, where they were Regional Tech Manager for Home and Personal Care. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Amyris as Director of Product Management.

Barry ZHANG received their Master's degree in biochemical industry from Nanjing Tech University between 1995 and 1998.
