YoungSoo Kim has a diverse work experience in the field of Alzheimer's drug discovery and diagnostic tool development. They started their career in 2000 as a Research Associate at New York University. In 2006, they joined the Korea Institute of Science and Technology as a Principal Research Scientist, where they focused on pathology, therapeutics, and diagnostics of Alzheimer's disease. Their research achievements in taurine derivatives reversing Alzheimer pathology and Alzheimer blood tests contributed to the institute's ranking as one of the world's most innovative research institutions. In 2017, they joined Yonsei University as an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor, specializing in integrated science and engineering and pharmaceutical sciences. They also assumed the role of Chief Scientific Officer at Amyloid Solution Inc. in the same year. In 2020, they became a Board Member at Deargen.
YoungSoo Kim completed a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Scripps Research, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Prior to that, they earned a B.A. in Biochemistry from New York University, attending from 1997 to 2001. Their education began at Daewon Foreign Language High School, where they studied French from 1994 to 1997.
