James Thanasules is an experienced professional with a robust background in the title insurance and legal industries. Currently serving as President and Senior Vice President, Chief New York State Counsel at AmTrust Title since June 2016, James manages a network of agents throughout New York State and provides underwriting and regulatory support. Prior to this role, James worked at First American Title for nearly two decades, where responsibilities included servicing a network of close to 300 agents and underwriting complex transactions. Earlier experience includes positions as an Attorney Associate at Neil A. Weinrib & Associates and Lifshutz, Polland & Associates, as well as financial analyst roles at Interpublic Group. James holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from St. John's University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from St. John's University.
