Michael Alexis is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in various roles within the legal and procurement fields. Currently serving as Senior Associate General Counsel and Deputy Chief Procurement Officer for Strategic Acquisitions and Contract Administration at Amtrak since March 2015, Michael has a diverse background that includes prior positions as Attorney-Advisor and Investigator at the Federal Trade Commission, and Associate General Counsel at Amtrak from 2009 to 2014. Michael began a legal career at the U.S. Department of Justice as a Senior Trial Attorney, having also worked with Norfolk Southern as Assistant General Solicitor and Attorney. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in History from William & Mary.
