Andrew Jensen

Senior Manager Equipment Engineering - Central Passenger Cars at Amtrak

Andrew Jensen is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the rail industry, currently serving as Senior Manager of Equipment Engineering for Central Passenger Cars at Amtrak since July 2017. In this role, Andrew oversees teams focused on the Superliner, Horizon, Talgo, and Midwest State Supported fleet maintenance and configuration. Previous positions at Amtrak include Senior Electrical Engineer and Electrical Engineer, with responsibilities ranging from supporting the Bi-Level car fleet to collaborating with state partners. Prior to Amtrak, Andrew worked as a Development Engineer at Holland LP, where significant contributions were made in managing BOMs for track inspection vehicles and designing support electronics. Early experience includes summer engineering internships with the Illinois Department of Transportation. Andrew holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a Master of Science in Engineering from Purdue University, and a Graduate Certificate in Business Management from Indiana University Bloomington.
