Karst J. Kooistra serves as the Sourcing Development Director at Tradin Organic Agriculture BV since February 2015, overseeing organic project development, new business initiatives, and leading the Marketing & Communication and Sustainability departments. Additionally, Kooistra holds roles as a Board member for the Organic Processing and Trade Association Europe since June 2017 and an advisory council member at SKAL Biocontrole since November 2019. Experience also includes positions at Landgoed Bleijendijk, EcoIdee Advisory, BioVisio GmbH, Control Union Certifications, and Wageningen University, with a focus on organic agriculture, project development, and sustainability. Kooistra's educational background includes a Master of Science in Agronomy and Crop Science specialized in Organic from Wageningen University & Research and an engineering degree in Tropical Plant Production from Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences.
