Julia Scholten is a seasoned healthcare professional with extensive experience in program development and management, particularly in sexual reproductive health and rights, harmful practices, and health system strengthening. Currently serving as the Senior Programme Development Manager and Senior Portfolio Manager at Amref Flying Doctors NL since February 2017, Julia has a strong focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as climate, gender, and health issues. Previous roles include Project Advisor for various health projects in the Netherlands and internationally, Wijkverpleegkundige and verpleegkundig coach at De Zorgcirkel, and Project Officer at Cordaid specializing in international healthcare projects. Julia's clinical background includes work as a nurse in acute care settings and outreach initiatives with Médecins Sans Frontières.
