Tim Booth has had a varied career, beginning as the Owner of Tim Booth Agency in 2005. From 2002-2005 they worked as a Corporate Trainer at TransWestern Publishing. In 2008, they became Owner of GTK Consulting, Inc. In 2013, they took on the role of Production Director at SoAcres Church, where they were responsible for all technical production aspects of the weekend worship service. In 2015, they joined Amplio Systems Incorporated as Senior Project Manager, later becoming Project Manager and AVL Integrator.

Tim Booth obtained their education from The Master's University between 1988 and 1989, where they studied Music & Bible. Tim also holds three certifications: Project Management for AV from AVIXA obtained in April 2020, Dante Certification Level 1 from Audinate obtained in October 2018, and Dante Certification Level 2 from Audinate obtained in October 2018.
