Quentin Howard, MBA has over 14 years of professional experience in the energy industry. In 2022, they began working as a Senior Support Engineer at Amphora, where they developed and maintained dispatch and flow models, managed an ETRM system triage log, created and used SQL queries for issue resolution and reporting, interfaced between business users, tech support, IT project managers and software vendors, and organized projects in their entirety. Quentin then joined EOG Resources as a Sr. Solutions Analyst, where they monitored company systems status, provided end users with technical support, supported upgrades of 3rd party applications, analyzed day-to-day production issues, tracked and appropriately escalated production issues, created specifications for new or existing products, supported the development of proprietary software applications, tested and supported the deployment of applications, prepared and maintained comprehensive administrator documentation, and provided strategic planning that meets corporate goals and objectives.
Prior to that, Quentin worked as a Senior Support Analyst at The Vessel Group from 2018 to 2022, where they worked with stakeholders to define and document system requirements, managed client expectations, supported project deployments, provided regular updates to documentation, customers and partners through phone and email, and acted as a Team Leader by coordinating with Users, Developers and various other groups. From 2018 to 2016, they were a Business System Analyst- Contractor at EY, where they were responsible for the end to end settlement activity for the Crude and Gas Trading business for Allegro implementation, provided solutions for complex accounting requirements, and detected volumetric and pricing issues that arose during the settlement process.
Before that, Quentin worked as an ETRM Business Analyst -Consultant at The Vessel Group from 2016 to 2018, where they led enhancements, designed, and configured of Allegro ETRM system to meet clients’ specific business needs, met with clients to analyze their individual needs, determined priorities, provided estimates and determined project scope, and drove the streamlining of the processing and reporting for Natural Gas and Crude Oil activity. From 2008 to 2007, they worked at Chevron as a Credit Analyst, Trade Support Analyst, and Production Revenue & Royalty Accountant, where they confirmed trading deals have been accurately processed, ensured the timely funding and management of collateral positions of all commercial activities, approved the allocation and renewal of open credit lines, led application support and maintaining production support activities, handled Ad Hoc request & special projects, and prepared forecast to actual earnings report and explained variances to increase. Lastly, from 2007 to 2007, they worked at Shell as a Sr. Accountant-Wholesale Settlements, where they worked with the Commercial Traders, Contract Administration, Risk, and IT groups to resolve energy discrepancies and ensured the settlement process to facilitate the reconciliation and payment settlement for all physical, financial and ISO trades.
Prior to that, Quentin worked at Ducharme Mcmillian & Associates as a Tax Consultant from 2007 to 2007, where they conducted audit reviews for the Sale/Use tax division, assisted with tax overpayment reviews and filing refunds, and prepared, analyzed, and filed tax returns.
Quentin Howard has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Texas Southern University, where they studied Energy Finance between 2013 and 2015. Quentin also earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from Texas Southern University, where they studied Accounting between 2003 and 2006.
