Richard Zhang has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Richard is currently a Program Manager at Amazon, starting in September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Amped Emotos Inc. as a Chief of Staff, where they oversaw engineering, finance, and market research workstreams for a team designing an electric motorcycle for military and security markets. Richard also managed budgeting, payroll, business planning, and procurement, and secured $250,000 in pledged funds.

Previously, Richard was an Operations Manager at Sur Ron Pit Stop, where they played a key role in website design, social media marketing, and supply-chain optimization, resulting in increased Instagram followers and $9,000 in sales. Richard also worked as a Private Tutor at Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes for a summer and as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor at YMCA of Greater Seattle. In these roles, they gained experience in leadership, training, and customer service. Additionally, Richard worked as a Lab Technician at Fred Hutch, where they maintained lab space and gained skills in protein purification and PCR.
