Richard Shook is a seasoned Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in the field, currently employed at Ampco Pumps Company since January 2015. Prior to this role, Richard served as a Mechanical Engineer and Mechanical Intern at AW-Lake Company from June 2010 to January 2015. Richard began a professional career as a Science Undergraduate Laboratory Intern at SLAC National Accelerator in the summer of 2009, focusing on modeling experiments and components related to the linear accelerator. Richard's early work experience includes serving as a Lifeguard for the City of Phoenix-Aquatics Department from May 2006 to August 2008, where responsibilities included ensuring aquatic safety and educating youth on water safety. Richard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Marquette University, having graduated in 2010, and completed secondary education at Brophy College Preparatory from 2002 to 2006. Richard is also trained in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and is working toward certification in that area.
