Robert Parra

Senior Project Manager at Amogy

Robert Parra has a diverse work experience in project management and engineering roles. Robert is currently employed at Amogy as a Project Manager. Prior to that, they worked at Skyven Technologies, where they served as the Director of Project Management and later as a Project Manager. In these roles, they managed various client-facing industrial decarbonization projects and developed processes, procedures, and standards for the organization.

Before joining Skyven Technologies, Robert worked at Firestone Building Products as a Business Engineering Leader and Senior Project Engineer. Robert led the development and execution of a $30MM CapEx portfolio for polyiso insulation facilities and managed the engineering phase of a greenfield project. Robert also successfully led a production line overhaul under budget.

Earlier in their career, Robert worked at Tredegar Corporation as a Senior Project Engineer, where they developed and executed a $10MM CapEx portfolio for plastic film lines. Robert also provided engineering support to plants across the globe.

Prior to that, Robert worked at WestRock Company as a Project Engineer, where they executed a $15MM CapEx portfolio and achieved significant savings on project budgets. Robert also accurately forecasted capital project spend.

Additionally, Robert has experience working at Atlantic Industrial Technologies as a Project Manager, where they managed hydraulic system projects for clients in different industries. Robert collaborated with multiple departments to design, fabricate, commission, and troubleshoot complex hydraulic systems.

Robert began their career as a Student Assistant at Stony Brook University, assisting the Chairperson of the Mechanical Engineering Department in lab classes. Robert also worked as an Intern at WENDEL Companies, where they assisted project managers in energy conservation projects and conducted site visits to ensure precision and efficiency in work completion.

Robert Parra has a strong educational background, with multiple degrees and certifications. Robert obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical Engineering from Stony Brook University, which they completed in the years 2008 to 2012. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university, which they completed in 2011 to 2012.

Recently, Robert Parra enrolled in Penn State University, where they are currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Business Administration. Robert started this program in 2020 and is expected to complete it in 2022. As part of their continuing education, Robert is also concurrently studying for a Graduate Certificate in Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Penn State University, which they commenced in 2020 and plans to finish in 2023.

In addition to their academic achievements, Robert has obtained certifications to further enhance their skills. Robert completed the "Body Language for Leaders" certification through LinkedIn in June 2021, and also obtained the "Creating and Giving Business Presentations" certification from LinkedIn in the same month and year. These certifications highlight their dedication to continual learning and professional development.
