Avreet Jagdev currently serves as the Vice-President of Public & University Affairs for the University of Toronto Students' Union, where responsibilities include coordinating advocacy efforts for over 40,000 students. Jagdev is also a National Organizer for Amnesty International Canada, focusing on activism strategies and campaigns related to significant social issues. Involvement extends to being a Board Director for the Abortion Rights Coalition of Canada and the Chair of Ontario New Democratic Youth. Recognized as an Emerging Leader by the Broadbent Institute, Jagdev actively supports reproductive justice through founding the UofT Students for Choice group and has held various executive roles within multiple student organizations at the University of Toronto. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Political Science and Critical Equity Studies, complemented by a minor in Women and Gender Studies.
