Shyamakant Giri serves as the Managing Director & President for India and Emerging Markets at Amneal Pharmaceuticals, a position held since June 2022, where responsibilities include overseeing commercial expansion in diverse regions such as India, Africa, the Gulf, CIS, LATAM, China, and South Asia. Prior to this, Shyamakant Giri was the Chief Executive Officer at Rivaara Labs from June 2020 to May 2022. An extensive tenure at Abbott from December 2002 to June 2020 included roles such as General Manager & Country Head for the India Region and Africa, Director of EPD Hospital Business, Country Manager for Abbvie in India, and a range of managerial roles. Earlier experience includes positions at Wockhardt from April 1999 to November 2002. Shyamakant Giri holds an MMS in Marketing from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies and a Master of Science in Organic Chemistry from the University of Mumbai.
