Melanie Lewis has over three decades of experience in education, primarily within Amherst County Public Schools since 1999. Currently serving as an Elementary School Teacher and Instructional Technologist, Melanie focuses on enhancing teaching strategies through technology integration for fellow educators. Prior roles include teaching second and third grades, where SOL-based lesson planning was emphasized. Earlier experience includes leading a Head Start program, where Melanie facilitated strong community and parental engagement while acting as a liaison between various educational entities. Academic qualifications include an Ed.S in Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Tech, a Master's in Educational Administration from Liberty University, and a Bachelor's in Elementary Education also from Liberty University.
