Karen Tienhaara currently serves as Associate Director of Rare Disease Access Marketing at Amgen, following the company's acquisition of Horizon Therapeutics in October 2023. Previously, Karen held the same title at Horizon, where responsibilities included leading site of care initiatives for TEPEZZA. Prior experience includes roles at Biogen, where Karen was a Senior Manager overseeing market access strategies for SPINRAZA and various Alzheimer's products, and GE Healthcare, where Karen served as Field Marketing Leader for Radiology Contrast Media. Educational qualifications include a Certificate in Health Economics and Outcomes Research from Tufts University, alongside dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and French Linguistics from Penn State University.
