Babak Abbaszadeh MD, MBA, is a seasoned healthcare executive with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Vice President of Global Medical General Medicine at Amgen since September 2024, Babak leads initiatives in cardiovascular and bone therapy areas as part of the Global Medical Leadership team. Previously held the position of Vice President and Head of Medical for the Intercon Region at Bristol Myers Squibb, overseeing medical teams across 60 international markets and contributing to medical and commercial strategies. Prior roles at Bristol Myers Squibb also included leading US cardiovascular medical strategy and overseeing sales and marketing for innovative medicines. Babak's career includes significant contributions at Sanofi, Médecins Sans Frontières, and various clinical roles, underpinned by an M.D. from Tehran Azad University of Medical Sciences and an MBA from Concordia University.
