Stephen Shields is a Lead Population Health Research Analyst at the American Medical Group Association (AMGA) since August 2020, focusing on the analysis of clinical and administrative claims data to enhance population health in integrated health care systems. Prior experience includes roles as an Analyst at HCBS Strategies, Inc., where collaborations with State Medicaid departments improved Home and Community Based Services, and as a Study Coordinator at the University of Maryland, leading NIH-funded research on Alzheimer’s Disease prevention. With a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master's degree in Public Health specializing in Epidemiological and Biostatistical Methods from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Stephen has demonstrated expertise in research methodologies and stakeholder engagement throughout various projects in academic and clinical settings.
