Venugopal Subramaniam is a highly experienced engineering professional with a focus on power electronics and product development. Currently serving as Director of Engineering at AMETEK Programmable Power since October 2013, Venugopal has overseen the end-to-end development of new products and managed a team of 30 engineers across various disciplines. Previous roles include Senior Engineering Manager and Engineering Manager, where responsibilities included leading design teams and ensuring adherence to project timelines. Prior experience includes consultancy at Wonderwatt, R&D management at Electrotherm India Limited, and significant contributions to power quality products and control systems at Meher Capacitors Private Limited. Venugopal began their career in research at the Indian Institute of Science, culminating in a Master’s degree in Power Electronics and Industrial Drives, following a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy.
