Jay Bateson has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Jay worked at CBIZ Insurance Services for over 26 years, starting in 1988 as a Senior Vice President and holding that position until 2015. In 2015, they joined Ames & Gough as a Vice President.

Jay Bateson attended Frostburg State University from 1980 to 1984, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business.
