Cathy Egan, JD, CFP, currently serves as the Director of Advanced Strategies at Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC, where responsibilities include overseeing advisory services and performing proof-of-concept projects. Egan also holds the position of Director of Advanced Strategies at RiverSource, collaborating with financial advisors to develop solutions for clients' estate and business plans. Previously, Egan was an Adjunct Instructor at Minnesota State University, Mankato, teaching estate planning for Certified Financial Planner candidates, and worked as an Estate and Charitable Planning Specialist at Lutheran Brotherhood, providing legal expertise in advanced markets. Egan's early career included serving as a Trust Officer at Lutheran Brotherhood Bank and Trust during its initial establishment. Egan earned a JD from the University of Minnesota Law School and a BA in Child Psychology from the University of Minnesota.
