Melanie Sage, RN, MSN, CPHQ, has had a diverse range of roles in their work experience. From 2003 to 2008, they served as the Administrative Director of Quality and Infection Control at The George Washington University Hospital. Melanie then went on to become the Chief Nursing Officer and VP of Nursing and Quality at Civista Medical Center from 2008 to 2012. Following that, they were the Director of Performance Improvement and Outcomes at Inova Mount Vernon Hospital in 2012. Most recently, they have been the Director of Quality Management and Chief Quality Officer at AmeriHealth Caritas District of Columbia since 2014. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of the organization's quality programs and working collaboratively with stakeholders to improve plan performance.
Melanie Sage, RN, MSN, CPHQ, has a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Nursing Administration from George Mason University College of Public Health. Melanie also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Eastern New Mexico University. Melanie has additional certifications as a CPHQ from the National Association for Healthcare Quality and as a Registered Nurse from the Virginia Board of Nursing, Department of Health Professions.
