Shameka Canty-Green has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Their most recent role is as a Portfolio Manager at the Corporation for National and Community Service since April 2021. Prior to this, they worked at the Public Health Management Corporation, where they held the positions of PHLpreK Hub Manager from December 2019 to April 2021 and Contract Coordinator from March 2017 to December 2019.

Before joining the Public Health Management Corporation, Shameka was an Education Liaison at the City of Philadelphia from November 2013 to March 2017. Shameka also worked as a Parent Coach at Children and Families First of Delaware from July 2013 to November 2013.

Shameka's earliest work experience was as a Family Advocate at Head Start Learning Tree, where they worked from November 2008 to July 2013.

Shameka Canty-Green's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Government from Delaware State University, which they obtained from 2001 to 2006. Shameka then pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services from Wilmington University, completing it from 2008 to 2011. Later, from 2014 to 2017, they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) in Administration of Human Services from Wilmington University. In 2019, Shameka attended Bryn Mawr College, where they received an Ascending Leader Certification in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management. Additionally, in January 2020, Shameka obtained a certification in Ascending Leadership from Bryn Mawr College.
