Prior experience includes a five-year term as a Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations and directing the Financial Transparency Coalition, where Porter coordinated responses to global financial issues such as the Panama Papers. Additional roles encompass strategic consulting and policy management at organizations like Oxfam America and The ONE Campaign, alongside early experience as a legislative aide and various internships. Porter holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Political Science and History from Williams College.
