Dyan Rice has extensive experience in education, particularly in the fields of biology and chemistry, with a current position as a Biology and Chemistry teacher at American YouthWorks since August 2009. Prior to this role, Dyan served as a Science, Art, and Advisory Teacher at the Brooklyn School of Music and Theatre from August 2006 to February 2009, where significant contributions included the creation of an Ecology curriculum and a school-wide recycling program, along with management of various community and educational projects. Dyan has also been actively involved in student preparation for state exams and hands-on science labs, while engaging in professional development with notable educators. In addition to teaching, Dyan was a co-captain and skater for Gotham Girls Roller Derby from 2006 to 2009. Dyan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with a focus on Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation from The University of Texas at Austin.
