Charlie Ruhs is a highly experienced engineering professional specializing in firmware and device engineering. Currently serving as the Director of Device Engineering, Software at Amwell since May 2019, Charlie previously held positions as a Senior Engineering Manager at the same company. Prior experience includes roles as Engineering Manager and Lead Device Engineer at Alarm.com from October 2015 to May 2019, focusing on the hardware abstraction layer (HAL) between applications and physical hardware. Before that, Charlie worked at Scientific Games from March 2005 to September 2015 as a Senior Firmware Engineer, developing diagnostic software and firmware for POS terminals. Charlie holds an MBA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (2018-2020) and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology (2000-2004).
