Dr. Kermani completed a General Psychiatry and Child Psychiatry Residency at New York University School of Medicine and graduated from Tehran School of Medicine. He’s a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and Triple Board Certified in General Psychiatry, Child, and Adolescent Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry. He is currently a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry New York University School of Medicine where he is also an attending physician at Tisch Hospital. As part of the faculty at NYU, Dr. Kermani taught medical students and residents in psychiatry.
Dr. Kermani has published numerous scientific papers in peer review journals. His opinions have been cited in the textbooks and academic journals. In addition, Dr. Kermani was Chairman of Psychiatry at Ross University School of Medicine until December 2014. He developed a psychiatric curriculum and oversaw the goals and objectives of the RUSM teaching program were fully implemented at the affiliated teaching hospitals.
