Patrice Johnson

Cooking Instructor at American Swedish Institute

Patrice Johnson is an accomplished writer and cooking instructor with extensive experience in culinary arts and education. Since 2009, Patrice has published numerous articles and recipes linked to culture and immigration, while also teaching classes on New Nordic flavors at the American Swedish Institute since 2014. At the University of Minnesota, Patrice serves as a registration coordinator, managing logistics for 400 events annually, and has offered courses on the foodways of Minnesota's Swedish immigrant ancestors. Patrice has also presented at several culinary events, including Norsk Høstfest and the Food & Wine Experience, showcasing modern adaptations of Swedish recipes. Patrice holds a Master's degree in Liberal Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Child Psychology, both from the University of Minnesota.
