Winnie Nham is the Education Coordinator at American Society of Plant Biologists. Winnie has previous experience working as a Research/Communications Manager at Rising Powers Initiative, The George Washington University. There, they initiated and led a program re-branding initiative which resulted in an enhanced communications strategy. This included a redesigned website, blog, publications, and social media outreach. Nham also conducted background research on energy security issues and drafted unique grant proposals leading to $950,000 in award funding. In addition, they developed, copyedited, and published research products including policy reports, e-newsletters, and promotional materials. Nham authored and published bi-weekly policy alerts and weekly blog posts representing the Rising Powers Initiative and the Elliott School. Winnie also managed direct communications for initiative’s internal and external stakeholders and reviewed research work products to ensure timely and proper execution of grant deliverables. Lastly, Nham developed and expanded relations with domestic and foreign partner institutions to host quarterly international conferences. Winnie facilitated monthly meetings and policy briefings with regional specialists, academics, and senior government officials.
Winnie Nham has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, International Affairs, Chinese, & Music from University of Maryland Baltimore County and a Master of Arts in International Affairs from The George Washington University.
