Melissa C. Tai

VP, Center for Integrity & Law & General Counsel at American Society Of Clinical Oncology

Ms. Tai serves as Vice President of ASCO’s Center for Integrity and Law (CEIL), which encompasses ASCO’s legal and governance activities. She is the organization’s General Counsel; General Counsel for Conquer Cancer, the ASCO Foundation; and Corporate Secretary for the Association for Clinical Oncology. She previously served as ASCO’s Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary of CancerLinQ.

Prior to joining ASCO, Ms. Tai was a member of the Tax, Benefits, and Nonprofit Organizations team at the law firm of Patton Boggs LP, where she was named Pro Bono Attorney of the Year. She received the American Bar Association Outstanding Young Nonprofit Lawyer Award in 2009. Ms. Tai earned a bachelor’s degree, with honors, in Linguistics from Brown University, a master’s degree in Linguistics from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
