Melissa Williams is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Communications Director for the American Society for Public Administration since July 2011, where responsibilities include the development of a strategic communications plan and the management of internal and external communications. Prior to this role, Melissa served as Communications Manager, focusing on social media management, toolkit development for affiliates, and creating e-communications. Earlier experience includes serving as a Public Affairs Officer for the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC), and as a Reporter/Writer for the Richmond Free Press. Melissa holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Howard University and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government and Journalism from Cameron University, along with an A-Level in English Language and Literature from Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College and a high school diploma from Basseterre High School.
