Andrew Byrne possesses extensive experience in maritime operations, currently serving as a 2nd Mate with American Roll-On Roll-Off Carrier Group since October 2022 aboard the M/V ARC Defender, which operates routes between the USA East Coast and Northern Europe. Previously, Andrew held the position of Deck Officer at American Maritime Officers since January 2019 and served as a 3rd Mate with both Crowley and Maersk Line, Limited in 2022. Andrew's earlier experience includes multiple roles with Military Sealift Command from July 2015 to January 2019, where responsibilities included being in charge of navigational watches and serving as the Chemical, Biological, Radiological Officer. Andrew holds a Bachelor's degree in Marine Transportation from Massachusetts Maritime Academy and a high school diploma from Heritage Academy.
