John Tavenner is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in application development and engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at American Public Education, Inc. since May 2013, John has also held senior development positions at Global Data Consultants, SusQtech, and The Library Corporation. Prior to their career in software development, John served in the US Navy as a Lieutenant Commander from September 1987 to December 1998. John Tavenner earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, graduating in 1987.
